These are the official rates fixed by the district water sports committee — ₹1,500 for 1 hour, ₹2,500 for 2 hours, always per private boat, not per person. No licensed operator may charge more, and rates are the same on weekends and holidays.

Are these rates official?

Yes. Boating rates in Honnavar are fixed by the district River Rafting & Water Adventure Sports Management Committee: ₹1,500 per boat for a 1-hour trip and ₹2,500 for 2 hours. Charging tourists above the fixed rates is prohibited, so what you see here is exactly what every licensed operator must charge.

Is the Honnavar boating price per person or per boat?

Per boat. ₹1,500 covers the entire boat for up to 4 guests on the 1-hour ride — you never share with strangers. Bigger boats for 8–10 guests run on the 2-hour packages.

Are there any hidden charges?

No. The package price is the full price — life jackets, the boatman and parking near the jetty are all included. You only pay more if you extend the ride or add extras like decoration or catering.

Do I need to pay in advance?

No advance payment or portal — your slot is confirmed on WhatsApp and you pay at the jetty by UPI (Google Pay / PhonePe) or cash.

Is there a discount for large groups or multiple boats?

For groups needing more than one boat, or combined boating + homestay stays, message us on WhatsApp — we'll work out a fair combined rate.

What happens to my money if weather cancels the ride?

Nothing is lost — since there's no advance payment, a weather cancellation simply means we reschedule your slot free of charge.
